There is nothing at all wrong with making a buck.  The problem comes in when
you make that buck at the expense of sysops who run the BBS (and thereby
transport your ad message) out of their own pocket with no compensation.
If you wanted to advertise on my BBS (and pay me a reasonable fee) I would be
more than happy to allow it, but still, not on the echos 
Hope you can understand the logic here...
