Are you loading the nic driver before trying to load IPXODI?  Try running the
3c90xcfg that is available from www.3com.com.   Also try using the latest
driver (3c90x.com) that comes from them.   As long as you do this in the right
order (LSL, nic, IXPODI, VLM) everything should work fine.
