until 18 months ago we ran nprinter on pc's with DOS/windows 3.1 on and had
no problems. Since we went to windows 95, we started using nptwin95 and
although this works we repeatedly get the print-server reporting the printer
as disconnected (once or twice a day),. This forces us to either re-boot the
pc or manually re-run nptwin95, remove the printer, and then add it again.
our lan is not particularly busy (and it happen regardless of which segment
the pc is on), I've changed watchdog timeouts etc, and I've tried loading
pserver with "{clib_opt} /R=20". None of these have worked.
One final point. I can't swear to this, but it looks like the printer
disconnects straight after it prints a job (not every job), rather than when
it has been idle for a time.
Can anyone help ?
