As you can see in my tearline, you're not using Golded's "latest release". Or
was this the last version that included pre-compiled binaries?

For one, the instructions are indeed there, although maybe not spelled out for
someone like you that likes to complain about every little detail. From the
INSTALL file in /opt/husky/huskybse:

I. Overview
===========
The Husky Fidonet software package is split into different "modules". A module
is a library or a program. In order to compile any Husky program, you will at
least have to download the following modules:
huskybse Husky Base, contains instructions, a template compilation
configuration file, and sample configs.
huskylib Common declarations and functions for Husky programs.
smapi The Squish Message API library.
fidoconf The Fidoconfig library.
In addition, you need the programs that you want to use, like "hpt" (the
tosser), "htick" (the ticker), "msged" (the mail editor), and others. For a
full list of available modules, refer to the husky homepage.
[/snip]
Seems pretty straight forward to me, even if they couldn't speak very good
english. *shrug*
As for the one single command,
1) Download sources
2) run "make && make install"
Is all I had to do. Sorry you had so many problems.
Regards,
Nick
