a file which currently stands at 2996795 bytes!

Since V.3anything does not imply V.42, you may as well include the flag.
Nodelist flags indicate what protocols you support. It is not necessary to
omit a flag (especially V.42) just because most of V.34 connects will also
connect using V.42 error correction.
Anyway, now the only relevance this thread has to modems is that V.34 does
not imply V.42. See you in ZONE3_SYSOP if you wish to continue.
