Oh, I see.  I didn't realize you meant a gov smog inspection.  I just assumed 
you had to show proof your car passed, as here in California.

Not much of a concern since leaded fuels been banned for motor vehicle
consumption for many years in Canada..

That was one of the factors that have got me to thinking about propane,
being able to apply all the old "hot rod" tricks to the engine and still be
able to drive it on todays available fuels.

Makes sense to me, it would be nice if we had some Alaska, Yukon, or NWT
fidonetters on here with some -really cold- experience. =)
My experience with propane (and NGV) is with the vans at work, however,
their draw back is that they are dual fuel, so nothing is optimized, and
cold weather starting was alway quicker with gasoline, but again, being dual
fuel, theres too much compromise.
I just ordered "Propane Fuel Conversions" from S-A Design, so hopefully that
book will be able to give me some additional information.
