Blech!  Looking at just the Blers says that this was a truly lousy connect.  
The total blocks sent/received is 15% of the errors while a 5% error rate is 
more normal.  Does this happen if you force the connect at a lower speed?  It 
seems very strange that with that level of errors, there were no speedshifts 
and no retrains.  The only time I've seen this before was on a connect where 
the modem at one end was locked (&n14, &u0).
