The problem was that the Windows product was a mongrel dog. Ventura worked under
GEM; it didn't under Windows. This was about 1990, when everything still had DOS
underpinnings. If I was using VP, I'd run under GEM. If I was using Excel, I was
using Windows. I was in with enough people at the time to get the VP
Windows upgrade for free. "Hey, I don't have to quit Windows to use
Ventura!" That lasted
about 2 hours (install to deinstall). It was really bad.
