only in stupid software that doesn't ignore it for threading purposes as i
stated in another message earlier...

i don't even use those "quote headers" and generally trim them
out of the quotes... its easy enough to see what something is about, who
wrote it and when ;)  like taglines, they are extra fluff that increases
the size of the message and the cost to transport it OB-)
