Obviously, the original motivation of conserving Scott's bandwidth by not
having to waste time justifying feature/design issues to folks who don't
even use the product or intend to use the product is a non-issue now.  I
would venture to guess that the number of caller/users who would stumble in
and ask stuff like "How do I access your door games on this
board?", would also be negligible, too, these days (we could be so
lucky.,.). So you could argue that the requirement is obsolete, but as long
as there is development work going on, there is still some advantage to a
little privacy via slightly restricted access.
