That sounds about right as the finer grits, which get a bit less grit per
wet, down to less than 1/4 level teaspoon per wet for something in the 12
micron range, and the 120 grit I got has been used on a fair number of
mirrors already and there is still about half there from what I remember it
was.  The big user is the 80 grit and that I wash the leavings form the
mirror and recover the lost grit, something of which there is very little
of when hogging out with an iron ring tool.  I usually do about 12 or so
wets of the 120 before I am happy with the surface shape.  The 80 grit
really digs into the glass surface and does some very deep cracks.  After
you get the 120 out of the way, the rest is going to be a lot faster until
you get to the other end of the process, the polishing and figuring of the
surface.
