It is good that you have read alot about homeschooling. Educating yourself
helps to make the proper decision. Ist of all if you know the basics it
shouldn't be too difficult. Alot of us who homeschool are learning along
with our children. After all, we haven't gone to school for years and it
helps to jog our memory. As far as intelligence goes we as parents, have
to teach our children so many things in life that academics is only a
small portion of their learning experience. I believe just about anyone
who who has an interest in their children's welfare can homeschool. Since
you proven that yourself by taking the time, effort and responsibility
to go to the Library and read. You do what teachers do already, investigate
a subject and decide which is the best way to go. I am not saying
homeschooling
will be a piece of cake. It takes effort and a strong interest in your
children, but I believe it would be the most rewarding experience you could
do for not only yourself but your child. A two year old needs more play
type experience than a 10 year old and you are probably already doing that.
You can get info from your state board of education or a homeschool support
group in your area. I am sure someone here on the echo mite be able to give
you more insight to your state laws. Goo Luck.
