Hmmm...  I keep it on.... and then often as not, take it out manually,
especially if I'm changing the subject line anyway...   At least BW,
once it gets put in the first time, doesn't keep adding MORE to the
front of the line... :)

Yeah, it happens all the time in email, especially with a couple of
people.  MY software only puts in the one Re:, and then never again, but
there's at least one that not only keeps* adding the re: but ALSO adds a
tab or something, so that the line looks like: 
Re:     Re:     Re:     Re:     and then some.   

Every so often, if the thread continues, I cut it back to just the one,
and watch it build up again... 

I kinda like having the one Re:, though.  It makes it more obvious at a
glance that it is part of the follow-up to the original message...  and
with just the one re: it would then thread together all except the
original...  :)
