Does anyone know what changes were made in Sony's ATRAC generations
    from second through its current fourth? The only in-depth specifics
    I read date from a stolen peek at a Stereo Review article at Wal-Mart
    when Minidisc debuted several years ago. It might be interesting to
    talk about how ATRAC is implemented and compares to PASC, MPEG,
    AC-3 or other coders, and whether adaptability of their behavior to
    individuals should be a goal, allowing scalability for audio file
    sharing over networks, for example, similar to that used for some
    image archives I think.  Or is this practised already?
