Europeans contribute over 70 percent of the world's foreign aid.
Which is why the United Nations Security Council tends to vote things
their way, rather than our way.

Even considering just aid for tsunami victims, the US lags far behind,
contributing only 6.97% of the world total (government), 10.17% of the
world total (combined government and private donations).
