it can but it has not affected FTN operations...

we stopped using archivers over here for FTN stuffs over a decade ago... we
send raw PKTs and it also helps with maintaining a rolling 30 day mail archive
in case there's a question about a message and the raw PKT needs to be
studied...

i saw it but i haven't had time to extract it and give it a play... looking at
it, it should also be easy enough to create a type 2 and 2+ format using it as
a base ;)
