Since I have very little to go on...

Are you booting with MS-DOS 7.x? That is, a bootable floppy
created from Win95/98. If so, don't. You need to use
MS-DOS 5.0 or 6.x, or similar.

Are you loading memory managers like HIMEM.SYS? If so,
don't. NetWare does not need crutches to work with more
than 640KB of memory.

Is the Adaptec controller set to "translate drives > 2GB" in
the SCSI BIOS? If so, don't. NetWare does not need
crutches to work with drives that have more than 1024
cylinders.

Do you have the latest BIOS updates for you mainboard?

If this mainboard is a socket 7 (i.e., Pentium or Pentium
MMX) and it uses a broken Intel chipset (i.e., 430FX, 430TX,
etc., the 430HX is OK) and you have or will have more than
64MB of RAM stop now and get a real mainboard. You have a
cheap-o clone board (even if it isn't cheap) that will run
Win95 nicely but is not ready for primetime as a server.
