Hello All,
I'm currently evaluating Commo 6.41, and I set my modem speed at 57,600 in
the config menu (Alt-G). I use a 14.4K modem, and there's not a single
problem when connecting at that speed. However, here in Manila, lines tend
to get noisy when there's a slight drizzle and so when the lines get wet, my
modem usually connects at a lower speed rate. Here's the problem: whenever
my modem connects at speeds of less than 14.4K, Commo can't seem to operate
properly. It just displays garbage, I can't even see the mailer 'Press Esc
Twice' message. What I do is I hung up, then press Alt-P, and usually set
my modem speed parameter to 9600. After saving the setting, I call again
(at 9600) then I get successful connects. Is there a way for Commo to
accept connections less than 14.4K without having to modify speed
parameters at Alt-P? I get connects of 12K, however there's no such '12K'
setting in Commo. 9.6K, then goes 19.2K next.
Pls. help me make Commo accept a 12K connection. Thanks for your time.
Mike
