Tim...rots o ruck with that one...
you're most likely peeing against the breeze...
same problem all over the U.S. no immediate solution short
of a 180 degree turn in attitudes on behalf of those you are
speaking about who do not serve.
somewhere along the line our "Social Services Awareness" has
fostered the concept that people are OWED and are DUE whatever
services they desire. they don't have to provide for themselves.
the concept of individual responsibility seems to have been lost.
Or am I just an old fart who misses the value system I was raised with???
Just see page B-5 Wall St Journal 7/3/95 article under employees
disability act award against Coca Cola.
Apparently, this is the LAW of the land.
I guess we will have to SERVE THESE PEOPLE at their order and
instructions. They RULE...we don't.
Sorry for appearing bitter, but I am on this topic.
Like, what has happened to contributions to the kitty.
How often do we see whole groups of people with their arms
firmly crossed over their chest when the basket is passed.
(They're afraid to even TOUCH the basket, let alone have to drop
a quarter into it...and a Buck...you've got to be kidding.)
{course...they could toss away megabucks at the bar...that was
NECESSARY for them...as it was for me...then}
Please, please...don't get me started on this trip...bad for my
blood pressure...
BTW: don't know if it's in order but Congrats anyway upon the advent
of your recent appointment...it will be either a blessing to you or
a thankless chore. :-)
Mike...the nasty Mac man.
PS: well written...good job...the paper that is...print it out anyway.
SERVICE is not an invitation to win friends and influence people.
