Oh, I decided long ago that the best twit "filter" is the

to the next message without worrying about reading the obnoxious ones. 
If later in the thread, it turns out that the usually objectionable
person DID have something of value to say, I can always go back and read
that* message after all... :)   There's rarely anyone I would NEVER want
to see/read again ever...
