*** Quoting Nancy Backus from a message to CAROL SHENKENBERGER ***
NB>> Did you get to bring the fish home? Or is it bragging rights only?
NB>> What kind(s) of fish did you get?
CS> Well, if we'd been at home we could have taken the fish, but we ended
CS> up giving them to the boat crew. Thems the breaks!
NB> Too much to transport home, I guess...?
Yes. We were in Okinawa and live on Kyushu. 1.5 hour plane then almost 2 hour
train. Since we fished 3 days before we left, a cooler just wouldnt have been
able to handle that.
Japan is a land of islands, some of which have bridges or underground train
access to each other. Okinawa though, is too far away for that.
CS> Caught were mostly Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna, and Rainbow runners.
NB> The first 2 I'm familiar with... what's a Rainbow runner?
Dunno really. Thats just what I was told they are called. It's a silvery fish
with color streaks like a rainbow. They probably dont show well on the
pictures.
