JP> You got that right. I drive through them twice/year. We took
JP> the scenic one once. At 40 MPH, it added 2 days to the jaunt but worth
JP> the while. Deer galore and the rodhodendrons were a-blooming.
AH you have been up on the Blue Ridge Parkway (G) Some awesum
views up there! The first time that we were there, there was a
gap in the parkway at Blowing Rock. Guess someone didnt wanta
sell out any how we had to jump now and go around. The lady at
the motel at Blowing Rock was unhappy because the highway dept
used all its salt on the road up to a ski run and didnt have any
left for the school routes!
We have run on parts of the parkway several times and once even
on up into Virginia on the Slyline Drive as far as Front Royal.
