True but I think the Fn commands only apply to V Fc Modems. The command works on my 1428 however it is very inconsistent with connects at varying speeds and sometimes with and without error correction and sometimes no connect at all. Using the S37=n command is a disaster. I haven't found a modem that it will connect to properly yet. It just seems to keep on trying to negotiate until the dial time has elapsed and then drops carrier and attempts to redial. My ISP has since changed their setup somewhat and I appear to be getting more connects using a conventional init string but it would still be nice to be able to force a V34 connect at 24000 or 26400 with LAP-M and V42 bis. Ah such is life. Anyone out there got a _good_ init string for a Dynalink 28800 internal fax/modem.
