I didn't run your mirror in Plop, but eyeball interpolation of the designs at my
web site, http://users.telerama.com/~mdholm/atm/cells/index.html  indicates that
you are correct.  18-point is probably necessary.  Tom Krajci has layed out some
neat looking 12-point cells,
http://overton.tamu.edu/aset/krajci/cell-12-pt/cell-12-pt.htm  but I haven't run
any of them in Plop yet, so I can't say how they might work out for you.
