        Hello David,

        [snip]

DM> FM> This is relatively easy to resolve. Yes, David, we live under a
DM> FM> system but NOT (at least yet) a philosophical system. This
 DM> FM> "system,"
DM> FM> indeed, obviously tolerates various "ideological systems" erected
DM> FM> by individuals and groups as long as these ideological groups are
DM> FM> willing to submit to the sovereingty of the Constitution

DM> By all your definitions, the constitution is an ideology unto
DM> itself and not easy to alter without mob mentality taking a hand
DM> ............and that "willing to submit ???!!!

  Yes, you see .

        [snip]

DM> FM> I think what is of supreme importance is that you understand my
 DM> FM> meanings
DM> FM> and I understand yours. THAT is the basis of true dialogue - not
DM> FM> to WIN or LOSE a debate.

DM> Yes! I slowly have come to understand your "styles" of reasoning and
DM> writing .........not so simple as you would imagine them to be. As
DM> said, I always did agree with *MOST* of your positions and insights-

I disagree with Frank's position. It is Frank's postion that
because we can't know the "ultimate truth", there are no "wins or
loses."
I do tend to agree, however, I separate this out from, "loses."
IOW, the basis of true dialogue is to -lose or not lose- a
debate. Please notice, this is different than -WIN or LOSE-.
This concept is borrowed from science. What science has
allowed to us to say, is what is -not true-. IOW, science
has said, the earth is not the center of the universe and
notice, any new theory, Coperician, Keplar, Newton, Einstein,
etc, at no point contradicts the NOTS of previous theorys,
earth is the center of the universe.

Take care,
John
