My nape is one that sounds like yours. Small frontal patch, small rear nape,
grayish beak & feet. He's large, 570 gms, or so, also has the burgandy color
at the edge/bend/underside of his wing.
Stoodley's book has been my reference but it is confusing about Ochocephala
subspecies. They all seem to be lumped together.
