whatever the final pricing will be):

Second EEP release of Alaska Xbase++ for Windows 95 and Windows NT
available on 10/27/97
The EEP release of Alaska Xbase++ will be refreshed now. The so called
EEP2 will be delivered to all registered EEP customers and new
customers starting October 27, 1997.
This means a major step forward for Xbase++ developers, since the EEP2
contains important features like:
* full support for hybrid mode,
* support of the NTX2 database engine which is compatible and
interoperable with Clipper 5.2x and
* the so called ApplicationPARTS for creation of forms and views on the
fly.
You'll find more technical details around the EEP2 in our EEP2 fact
sheet, available on CompuServe ( "GO ALASKA") or in the Xbase++
conference on http://www.afaonline.com.
We've also connected two actions with the EEP2, which will be of
interest for all of our potential customers:
1. Each customer, that already bought the EEP or that will buy the EEP2
before Alaska Xbase++ Version 1.1 will be generally available, will
get a voucher with a 50% discount on the purchase of the
XbToolsIII for Windows 95 and NT, a function library, that's to a
great extent compatible with the CA-tools or Nantucket tools.
2. All EEP2 customers will get a 30 day money-back guarantee. If your
not satisfied with the product you can send it back to your
distributor within 30 days after availability of the final version
1.1 and you'll get your money back. As a consequence, the demo CD,
that had the same functionality as the first EEP release and which
expires on October 31, 1997 will no longer be available.

FWIW, they've been making noises that they expect the 1.0 official
release will be available within a month or two of the release of the
EEP2 version.
