Ventura developed into a nice program to do fairly long instruction manuals
in. PageMaker was more of a single page or multipage flyer type program
back then without the features to do an index or any of the small booklet
type features. (it got those features with version 5 or so)
Fortunately for me I didn't know about this difference back then so I used
PageMaker for our catalog which since that time has grown to over 1000
pages...
