The book by Greg Lahey, Complete FreeBSD is a good introduction, and
convenient if you can lay your hands on a copy. However, if you CAN'T, but
have a decent internet access method, the FreeBSD Handbook is up on the
www.freebsd.org site. The FreeBSD Handbook contains essentially the same
info as Complete FreeBSD, just in a more streamlined form.
There's also other good resources online in www.freebsd.org/docs
