I can see that working well when the age span isn't too great... or the
youngest ones not too young to be able to bring their own gifts...  :) 
One of the other problems with trying to do something like that with our
family is that there are too many individualistic people in the crowd
that just want to do their own thing...    Plus, some years, some of
us have been collecting things all through the year.  :)
