VB ->I am really interested in XBase++, so I also support the change in
policy.
Thanks for the comment.
VB ->FiveWin is an Omicron product and its purpose is to make Windows
->programs from Clipper code, with not many changes.
FiveWin and it's competitor Clip-4-Win both allow you to keep the
"business logic" of your Clipper code to produce 16 bit Windows 3.1
type executables. Both require you to redo all of the interface code.
i.e. menus, data screens, browses, anything the user can see. That's
the only way to get the GUI Windows look. You'll have to do that for
anything, so it's not a real restriction. Xbase++ claims you don't have
to do that, but if you don't, you simply end up with a DOS looking
program that runs perfectly under Windows 95.
http://www.fivewin.com and http://www.clip-4-win.com for more info
on either.
Thanks for stopping in!
