    The following activities in New York are operated by various 
organizations, including astronomy clubs. A couple extra activities of 
special importance to City astronomers may be included. 
    The activities here are almost all within New York City. For a 
more regional slate of astro events, check the calendar section in the 
NYSkies Yahoo group. How to join NYSkies is explained in the yadda-
yadda below.

               Course in physics and mechanics of astronomy, with
               some algebra. Instructors Stew Rorer and John 
               Pazmino. Register at early session, $50.

Wed -  5 Feb - 17:30 - Sci Ind Biz Liby - MH - science lecture
               Madison Av, 34-35 St. Einstein's science and
               religion. Free. 

Fri -  7 Feb - 18:00 - Amer Mus Natl Hist - MH - AAA lecture 
               Dr Richard Fienberg, Sky and Telescope
               'Home astronomy in the coming decade'               
               Enter thru 77th St gate, ask guard for
               'astronomy' lecture, admission is free. 

Fri -  7 Feb - 19:00 - Columbia U - MH - Observatory viewing 
               Pupin Hall, 14th Floor. Clearsky viewing from 
               both domes on rooftop. Check with

               General membership gathering for briefings on 
               upcoming celestial events, project work, show &
