-=> Quoting Andy Ball to All on 12-28-06 20:39 <=- AB> Any tips on helping a teething fifteen-month-old sleep through the AB> night? :-. Some teething rings have gel in them that will freeze well. When frozen they can help the gums feel better. And then there's the folk remedy... Pour a shot of scotch. Dip finger in the scotch, and rub gently on the child's gums. Drink the rest. :) Seriously, getting the gums to not hurt quite so much does help the kid relax and get to sleep... Oragel and the like can also be helpful. And, just like an adult with a toothache, sometimes the pain just breaks through anyway, and wakes one up... Then all you can do is repeat the things that do help, and soothe the child back to sleep. (The shot helps you to relax so that you don't fret at their anxieties too much.) And remember that this too shall pass... ttyl neb ... If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.20 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: FidoTel & QWK on the Web! www.fidotel.com (1:275/311) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 275/311 106/1 261/38 123/500 379/1 633/267 |
