Okay, I think I see what is going on. You are running
in "Full-Screen" rather than in a "DOS window". I assume you
should be able to change this in the MS-Dos prompt properties.

I am running Win95 but I assume the change is similar under SX.
You don't need to be in BW. Drop to the DOS prompt and hit
Alt-Enter. This should toggle you to a window rather than
full-screen. I think in XP you can click on the drive letter in
the upper left corner to display a menu. Now you can click on the
Properties icon and change the default to run DOS (batch files) in
a window.

Or if you just want to change the properties of the batch file
that calls BW try this: Create a shortcut to the batch file.
Right click on it and click options. Now you can change from
full-screen to a window.

    Good luck,
      Charles
