The only benefit observable from this viewpoint from your sayings is the

I'll be candid. Were FORLE in my power, the moment you raised your elective
hopes, the only thing that would have delayed your access being cut off would
have been the act of typing in the commands to do so.

In short, if you STILL haven't figured it out... I see your announcement as

attempt to bring FIDO under the same 'equal access' aegis as radio, 
elevision
and print as regards elections. Since FIDO is a number of systems, any 
regulation will be initially difficult, but eventually smothering the BBSs in 
question. I for one do NOT purpose to see that happen if I can help it. 
Frankly the only salvation I can see is your removal.
