I've heard them called "binky"s or "nukker"s (the last
from Nuk, who
manufactures them along with other baby items)...  Lots of other pet
names for the ever-helpful pacifier.  :)  Usually I hear "baba" for the
bottle or substitute... so I can see the idea of sucking on something
making it a 'baba' too...
