It certainly appears that way.  In my particular case and situation
nodelist diff's would be less meaningful then it is for you.  I've used
them in the past but haven't in over a decade.  I don't even have a
compiler.  What for?

To be quite honest I don't remember where I read it or even that I compiled
areafix seperately.  I was and am distracted at the moment by other issues.

For a point that is overkill.  A test hub seems more appropriate.  Even a
node doesn't need all that.  Like I said I don't need msged on the node,
only on the point.  I seem to have gotten away with just hpt and all the
libs on the node.  Looks to be doing it's job so far.
