JP> Darn. 28800. I wonder whether or not my modem will ever connect at 33600 JP> to JP> another 33600-capable modem. A Courier I connect to locally never manages JP> to JP> connect at 33600 either. Consistent 31200 connects. So near and yet so far.... I know the feeling. I was lead to believe (when I got my lines installed) that I was on a System-12 exchange. It was a year later, when I asked for my Hybids to be trained on my line cards, that I was told....NO ..I am on an AXE exchange and therefore "linecards can not be trained on these....You either have 600 ohm or 1200 ohm and nothing in between" I am going to ring Testra and STIR the POT (or is that POTS) again today. I recon this could be the difference between 31200 and 33600 for me. It is the only shot I have got left, so I can't loose. LATER today. I just rang 132200 and told the girl that I wanted to change from AXE to S-12 in my exchange. She said OK wait and I will issue you with 3 new numbers on the S-12 side of the exchange. No charge for the first time you need a number change, but they will charge you for future number changes. This happened late friday so wont be in affect til Monday, Then Monday afternoon I will order the hybrids on my line cards trained. This better do something. I don't own a paddle, if they send me up the creek.
