Me too!.  When I bought this 286 machine used, it had an AUTOEXEC file
that brought me right into Norton Commander (3.0).  I had no manual, and
didn't know how to get back to DOS.  Nor did I have a rescue diskette. I
stumbled around, found WordPerfect and used that as a shell back to DOS
to format a system diskette; then I could start to explore! I am using
QM5.01, similar to the shareware 4.2TD version.
