subject: FAQ time?

Hi Greg!
Thanks for your input on the FAQ.
-> I've only recently plugged into this echo as a complete audio novice
-> - 95% of what gets tossed around goes straight over my head at the
-> moment, but I am pleased to say that I was about to ask if the *WAS*
-> a FAQ for AUDIO.
-> My only suggestion, therefore, is that you consider including a
-> section for novices such as myself that might point us in the right
-> direction to get information beyound (before?) the scope of the FAQ.
The FAQ will probably evolve over time to cover those questions that we
get constantly, like "I bought a speaker and need to build a cabinet,
anyone got plans?" and impedance questions and stuff like that get added
as we get tired of answering those kinds of questions in the regular
echo every other day with needless repetition.
Many that hang out here are really into AUDIO, but you are correct,
there are also many that are beginners here looking for information,
which this echo hasn't really addressed too well in the past, except
when someone asks a question that is "common knowledge" for most of us
in the echo, where someone will usually patiently explain to them. A
"bonehead" primer would take much longer to get together, but would be
a good idea. I'll take that under advisement and see what can be used
from other sources to put together.
Thanks for your input on this!
