true in many cases... there are gobs and gobs of UI programs, though...

that was one of the main goals of the KDE interface... but like a few
others, gnome being one, they need a lot of memory... some UIs use so
little RAM that they can enable the entire system to run in as little as
256M of RAM but they are harder to configure... in those cases, one
generally has to manually edit the config files to add the progras they
want linked on the desktop or in the menus... but like so many other
things, McDs vs BK vs Wendy's for instance, there's a good reason to have
choices ;)
