Definetly faster and more reliable.  Easier?  I suppose it could be but at the
moment much of the other stuff is still stuck way back before y2k so it still
has some funkiness to take into account.  My last attempt to liberate myself

Right.  We're using a binkp connection there and so far it has been okay other
then local crashes due to power outages.  I don't have it automated as I kept
running into clashes with the local networks but I think I've now got that
fixed and will probably automate it now ... if I keep it that is.  Still
rethinking everything.

I hear ya!  I have been lazy with the Fido stuff myself but in my defence have
been picking away at both 32-bit and 64-bit development systems and bringing
those into sync.  Not anything to do with Fido ... yet.
