I don't think Michael is suggesting the configuration file format be
changed, just that some sort of config file editor is designed (similar to
SWAT or Webmin) to speed up editing the config file.

Having used FastEcho's config program, I understand where he's coming from,
but I didn't like the fact that FastEcho's config file was not text because
there were times I wanted to edit it directly with a text editor, but as
anyone who's used SWAT or Webmin knows, you can have the best of both
worlds.  The only problem that tends to come up when you use an automated
program to edit text config files is that the comments get stripped out or
moved to the wrong places.  Small price to pay though.

Oh, that and the fact that a Squish config file with "Include
" would be difficult to handle with an automated tool.
 It would want to keep everything in the standard (as per SQUISH.DOC)
SQUISH.CFG, COMPRESS.CFG, ROUTE.CFG (and possibly AREAS.BBS) files.
