Not in the short term, but there is a highly modified and portable version
of the MSGAPI that's used by Maximus and Squish. It's called SMAPI and is
used by HPT, Msged, etc. It supports JAM to some extent, but some of the
JAM code is still broken.
A few months ago I ported the SMAPI to several more compilers and released
the (heavily modified) result as XMSGAPI. But the JAM code is still
broken. If I used JAM bases I'd probably be more inclined to fix it. I
don't really want to half-heartedly fix it then be blamed for corrupting
someone's message base either. ;-)
