JG> Well, I would be glad to talk with you about our experience. I
JG>want to be up front and let you know that I closed the business October
JG>08, 1996.
Good! Anything you cluld share would be helpful. Thank you for being
up front. I guess the question is why?
JG> PS> What kind of an organization is yours? Is it local or national. How
JG> PS> do you "market" memberships?
The kind of organization "we" are planning is a kind of trade
association. I have a corporate sponsor, who will cover the initial
costs. We will be doing a verity of thinks and to a large extent are
still in the planning stag.
There are many ways that you can market memberhsips. Part
JG>of this depends on the type of organization that you are running. Could
JG>you be more specific with what you are going to be doing?
See above.
You can
JG>market membership through newsletters, through participating groups in
JG>the same field, through sponsorship, media etc....
We have planned to use all of these, except media. Our industry group
is small and spread out all over the country. Media would not be
effective. We also have an initial national meeting scheduled for next
March in New Orleans.
Anything you might share from your experience would be most helpful.
Thank you.
