Hallo Albano!

ADM> echos, ...) in the Connect and Discconect Menu in FPD?
These request magics are used:
BOXLIST expects box.lst with local echos
NETZLIST expects netz.lst with regional echos
ECHOLIST expects echo0002.zip
echo0002.zip includes:
echo0002.lst with 'normal' echos
And it may additionally include a file backbone.na with all other echos
(these are used for the American echos).
It should also work if you put box.lst and netz.lst also into echo0002.zip.
I tried to request a list with available echos from several nodes in
2:341/* who are available over IP, but either no connect or no answer to my
request (I tried ECHOLIST, MAGIC and MAGICS to get the echo list and a file
with available request magics). These are common magics in R24, and as I
believe in Z1 and other regions.
What magics are common in your area? How do you usually get a list with
available echos?
The echo lists all have the same structure:
areaname description
For example:
===== cut begin: box.lst =====
ccc.chat DAS CHATecho schlechthin.
ccc.bs Rund ums Programmieren, Betriebssysteme, etc.
ccc.postings Hier kommen alle interessanten Mails hin.
ccc.linking In diesem Echo werden wichtige Sachen gepostet. Mandatory.
ccc.flea Wer was verkaufen will schreibts hier rein.
ccc.english English speaking area for chats and questions
ccc.schule_uni Alles rund um das Studium und Schul
CDPOINT Diskussionen um Michael Haase's Fido-Paket deluxe.
===== cut end =====
(not important how many spaces there are between area name and description)
Then I could add a button to request a new echo list (usually it's done
automatically only once a month and at installation when registering to a
cdp node).
See ya,
*Micha*
