No, they won't.  If you stop responding to them (take the high road)
when they bait you, then they will tire of persecuting you. If you
ignore their comments to each other, they will tire of it.  It is just
that whenever you reply to the harassment, it just gives them a fresh
start.
Just keep your comments on the subject and ignore the comments and
they will die off.  The comments, hopefully, not the folks making them.
