     Hi, I have 8 children, 3 of which were considered "hyperactive" when
     young. I now believe they had ADHD or ADD. Two are adults in their
     30's and they still have some symptoms. One still paces and even rocks
     in his sleep. He is *never* still. He has done that since birth. The
     oldest has calmed down some, but he still has trouble with his attention
     span, unless it is something *he* wants to do. All of them move their
     legs when sitting or pace when on the phone. Some part of their body
     has to be moving.
     They were in special schools when young [for troubled youngsters]. It
     seemed to help because it was a one on one type of school. But at home,
     they were always fighting with one another or one of the others. They
     were quite a handfull. In some ways, they still are. They were never
     put on medication, because it was *just* hyperactivity.....
     I have 7 grandchildren that have been found to be ADHD. I guess it
     runs in the family. Some of my grandchildren are on medication. Some
     are not. We try to help each other out when things get rough. But just
     learning more about the ADHD is a big help for all of us.
