subject: In the BW echo !

Hello Mark, we were saying !

JP> It still evades me why I can not just dumbly copy the
JP> BWAVE folder from one HD to another and have it
 JP> operate just as before.

ML> sounds to me like a form of copy protection to prevent someone from
ML> zipping their install and giving it to friends and family so they don't
ML> have to by their own keys...

Not the reason, )\/(ark, as the programme works fine in most
spects. It is only the path to the zipper that is not seen properly.

ML> if it is copy protection, it is likely based on the "serial
number" of
 ML> the disk...

No, I have the keys to validate this PRG.

ML> open a command prompt and do a DIR /P and you should see the "serial
ML> number" listed with the drive's volumn name...

Hee ! This brought to mind a long forgotten DOS command. I did
this and added the >PRN to it and I now have on paper the content of
the HD as a reference. Thanks.

The barnstormer, aka the F-86 screamer, JP.
