YES, I was very disappointed when I found out that the USR was changing to Country Specific models when the original Courier V.Everything modem models were released. Why couldn't they do what Supra did and have ALL the country codes in the one modem, so picked the one appropriate for you. One International model. I could probably answer my own question here. AUSTEL is the reason....They want to do the controlling, not leave it up to the public concience. This is propably the reason that the SupraFaxModem was never Austel Approved for Australia, but the SupraExpress is, now The SupraExpress is the bottom of the range, no bells, no whistles.
